How Almimar Reno began
Behind the company is a long road: a career rebuilt from scratch, a craft learned by hand, and a father-and-son team set on fixing what frustrates homeowners about contractors.
1986
A power engineer in the making
Haider trained as a power engineer in Baghdad, Iraq, specializing in power generation.
1991
A new direction
An injury during military conscription ended his engineering career. Rather than give up, he rebuilt his future in the contracting trades.
2008
A fresh start in Canada
Haider immigrated to Canada. To provide for his family he delivered newspapers overnight while learning flooring installation by day.
2010
All in on flooring
A side trade became a calling. He went full time into flooring and spent years sharpening his craft with established names like Jordans Flooring.
2022
Almimar Reno is born
Haider founded Almimar Reno with his son Kyle, built on a simple promise: no hidden fees, clear communication, and work done right.
